How Does An Estate Sale Work?
We start with a free consultation in your home. We’ll review our services. We can organize and determine what to keep, what to sell, and what may need to be donated. You will make the final decision, but we will be happy to advise.

Our expert pricing ensures you get the most from your valuables. Taking it further, we handle appraisals, capture stunning photographs, and launch extensive marketing campaigns to attract eager buyers.
We provide tables, display racks, and additional lighting. We’ll clean, rearrange, and display the contents of your home to look attractive and conducive to buying. We will staff the sale with our top-notch team. The sale will be advertised online on our platforms, and colorful signs will be posted in your neighborhood. We also advertise all sales on estatesales.net, where we post over 100 photos! Our well-organized sales create a seamless flow through your home, with hassle-free checkouts and attentive customer interactions, all backed by our vigilant security measures.
But our assistance doesn't end there. As we go, we discuss clean-out costs and donation options. After the sale, we can arrange for charitable donations and hire services to remove and dispose of items in a dumpster. Plus, we can even schedule professional house cleaning services, leaving your property spotless and ready for its next chapter.

How long will the Estate Sale take?
Whether you're looking to wrap up a sale in a swift two to three-day timeframe or tackle the monumental task of emptying a cluttered hoarder home, we're here for you. Most homes will need a three-day sale, but we will have more than one sale for extra full houses with every room full of vintage treasures. We dedicate weeks of work to those extensive collections, carefully curating several sales to ensure you get the best results. We are happy to help you unpack all those boxes that have been stored for a long time!
How much will the Estate Sale cost me?
That’s usually the first question we get! You will very likely get a check! Since we’ve opened Blue Colorado, every one of our customers has gotten a check, but let me explain why it is hard to give you a number right away. Most estate sales are done on a commission basis, and it depends on the size of the estate and on the type of items we are dealing with. Is it a house with 40 years of “stuff,” or is it a smaller sale with the best items going to a family or to someone moving into a senior living facility? Are there vintage items such as dolls or comic books? Are there functional kitchen items, or is there a garage full of helpful machinery and sports equipment? If many items need to go straight to a dumpster, we will handle this process on a flat fee basis first. We have handled smaller estate sales where the check was about $5,000, but on average the estate sales for a bigger home with items was more around $12,000. We want to emphasize, though, that people tend to overestimate the value of their belongings.

On-Site Sales or Online Sales
At Blue Colorado Estate Sales, we typically host on-site sales, but on special occasions, we also conduct online auctions using a reputable platform. This option is particularly suited for unique collections such as extensive coin or stamp collections.
